Operation “Major Flood!”: An ACR & CHUG Tabletop Exercise for Insurance Professionals

When disaster strikes, insurance professionals play an important role in helping individuals and businesses recover quickly, safely, and in compliance. That’s why we’re teaming up with the Collaborative Healthcare Urgency Group (CHUG) to host Operation “Major Flood”, a live, virtual tabletop exercise designed to put real-world recovery challenges into action.

Join us to strengthen your claims readiness and help support your healthcare clients:

During this exercise, we work with the CHUG team to simulate a major flood scenario that will challenge healthcare leaders to assess and activate their Emergency Operations Plans. The exercise will highlight critical decision points that directly affect claims, continuity of care, and property recovery, including water supply, communications, evacuation, and Continuity Of Operations (COOP).

With realistic injects and facilitated discussion, participants will walk through the key decisions leaders and staff face when lives, property, and community health are on the line.

Why it matters for INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS

For insurance brokers, claims advocates, and adjusters specializing in healthcare clients, it’s critical to have deep knowledge of how healthcare facilities prepare and respond to emergencies to help ensure accurate claims evaluation, faster processing, and reduced risk of disputes. By engaging in this exercise, you’ll gain unique insight into:

  • How facilities mitigate damage before a claim is even filed

  • The recovery priorities that influence scope and cost

  • The timelines, compliance requirements, and care continuity concerns unique to healthcare settings

Why acr & chug?

  • Nursing Home Administrators

  • Directors of Nursing

  • Facility Managers
