On May 8, 2009, A C R will be sponsoring a Relay For Life with the American Cancer Society at the Hyde Park High School in Chicago.
Relay For Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people every year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and empower individuals and communities to fight back against a disease that takes too much from too many.
Teams of people camp out at a local high school or park, and take turns walking or running the track or path. Relays are overnight events lasting approximately 12 hours, raising money for the continued support of cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services provided by the American Cancer Society.
